Adding Small Touches

I think it's safe to say that the bulk of major renovations are complete in my home (insert sigh of relief)! Lately, I am completely focused on decorating the space. I can't help myself but to shop for home decor every second I can. Like, seriously. I may be addicted. As far as large furniture pieces are concerned, I still cannot dive into such investments, so I stick with the small, minor purchases to keep myself occupied. Recently, I popped into the new Anthropologie in Oakville. I almost bought the whole store, but somehow muscled up some self control (How mature am I? Must be my new age of 31). This is what I left with...

The new purchases

1. Tea Towels to add a splash of colour in the kitchen. In reality, I actually took them back. They didn't work quite how I wanted them too.

2. Measuring cups that I am not even going to use for measuring. Nope. They are too cute for that. I have them all over my house...one at the sink for my rings while I wash up...one as my vitamin holder....one on my night stand. They are a perfect fit.

3. Knobs for my new hallway furniture piece to add some swagger. Anthropologie has the best hardware selection. These were on sale, so I was instantly hooked.

So this is how I begin to add my touch...I have no rhyme or reason, I just start to buy what I like. This is what makes a home unique...don't think about it....just go with your gut.
