Giving Thanks...

Hi! I am here. I swear. I have taken a month hiatus to spend time with my family, and focusing on getting back into the swing of things. Oddly, even though I didn't return to school at the beginning of September, there is definitely a shift among us adults....reality? Could it be? Summer is over, and concentrating on work has become the norm. Alas, I have come to this reality.

Back to the grind

Reflecting on this upcoming Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, I have to give thanks to the many, many people and things I am grateful for...not only from this past summer, but in general. The summer was incredible! I kept myself busy, socializing and enjoying the outdoors. In a nut shell, I spent less time on the computer (Sorry blog readers!) and more time enjoying the great Ontario summer weather!

A beautiful Hamilton Bay Front sunset.

An Ontario pit stop tradition.

I experienced the arrival of many new babies, that I would like to consider my nieces and nephews, even if not blood related. I would officially like to welcome...Ashton, Owen, Henry, Jackson, Ryan, Kale, Austyn, Desmond and Kyra! Can you believe how many there have been? And there is still 3 more to come! This has created a shift among my friends and family (obviously!), and reminded me how amazing it is to be at this stage in my life. Although I may have rejected the idea of being in my 30s, so far, it's been pretty darn great!

Visiting my bff who is expecting at the end of the year.

I am grateful for the 4 days I was able to spend in Mexico with my family this past month! My mom, who celebrated her 60th birthday in September, selflessly decided she wanted us all to go away together on her special day! It was an amazing way to reconnect and celebrate the fabulous woman and mother she is! So thank you Mom and Ward...

The bluest ocean.

The family clan.

Sadly, at the end of September, we lost a special man in our family, my Grandpa Dante. He was the patriarch of the family, the Italian grandpa who wouldn't quit. He taught us the importance of family and how to be a role model for those who follow. He will be forever missed but not forgotten. His wake was a testament to the great man he was, and it made me realize how precious true family and friends are. So to all my family and friends, thank you.

Remembering the happy moments.

Remembering a great man.

During this very hard time, I cannot forget to say how thankful I am of my wonderful partner! This I am thankful for everyday. I feel like the luckiest girl to have found a man with such love, compassion and respect for me. I wish I could duplicate him so that all you single gals can know what it's like to have a man like him...keep your sights high, because the perfect one will come! I promise!

My man.

And lastly, my readers...thank you! I, thank you for reading about what inspires me, in the hopes of inspiring you! Design is my passion and I hope that I help improve your spaces with my tid bits of information. I truly love what I do, and thank you for riding the wave with me!

Happy Thanksgiving...and thank you!
